Some quick updates
My holiday was bleh
I met up with an out of town friend before christmas, and I'm fairly sure they passed on whatever they were coming down with. The timing was such that I was sick on christmas day, and had to skip my family christmas visit. Sigh.
Rang in the new year with THE LOST CITY (2022): a movie with Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum. Some similar vibes to Romancing the Stone if you enjoyed that one. Fun, but I regret watching the longer trailer; they totally revealed things I wish I were surprised at. No more extended trailers for me, I guess.
Buy less clothing, or at least make it considered purchasing
Happy to say I made progress on controlling clothing spending urges in 2024 and want to continue that habit and mindset. Sometimes I had slip ups, but I was mostly successful.
Surprisingly, my second hand / online thrifted clothes purchases ended up being the best ones in terms of quality of fabric. Maybe not so surprising in the context of so much polyester being sold new. Maybe I put in more effort into researching these items, because these purchases are more final sale not returnable.
Had my worst eczema flare in years
Ugh. You know it's been a while since the last breakout, when the hydrocortisone from last time is expired a good 5 years.
