In my ears

Or, audio lately

SEA OF LIES podcast

Very bingeable, I recommend. I'd probably have finished it in a single day, if I had started earlier. Fairly sure I hadn't listened to any true crime pods before this one, I've only listened to fiction podcasts. I think this ruined me for other true crime pods, lol. Excellent, the twists and turns read like fiction.

Investigative true crime, standalone 7 episodes under its own name, or also in the feed of UNCOVER from CBC podcasts, as season 32.

This year, the audiobook deals aligned with my wishlist. I picked up some at Libro.fm including an impulse aspirational buy intro Spanish language course by Paul Noble, which I think was a cyber monday only deal.

While I've definitely moved away from buying from amazon for ebooks, they make it hard to drop audible.com, too. From the current site-wide sale running for a few more days, which apparently is the worst one ever if you've been a long time subscribed member, I still found novellas and shorter books (6 hours and under) a good deal to use up that $20 gift card bonus.

My finds included Dreamlands by Silvia Moreno-Garcia, which is 2 novellas for $1.56 USD, and I justified to myself a book by an author I don't like as a person on sale around $5. I'm not pirating but I also didn't pay for their book. Works for me. I think my library does carry them in audio, but it's very long, so now I don't have to worry about rushing to finish before it's due.
